Ever heard someone say (who hasn’t seen you in a while), “look at you, you’re all grown up?”  Life is like that…some times we feel “all grown up,” then something happens in life that makes us feel so insecure, unprepared, or even immature (like a child). Life in Christ can sometimes be like this.  You feel confident in your relationship with Christ, then something happens and suddenly our confidence is shaken and we revert back to being “a baby in Christ.”  Remember, NO ONE ever arrives!  We are all a work in progress. So don’t give up when life throws you a curve…just keep trusting, growing, and believing!

He was a 1st round draft pic by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers out of Clemson University. Traded to the Chicago Bears last year.  Projected as a future All-Pro Defensive End. A top physical specimen. He was 26 years old.  And Gaines Adams died this morning from an enlarged heart.

Don’t live for tomorrow…live for today!

Seems like we often times find ourselves in places we never expected to be?  We allow ourselves to get “stuck” in spots that place a ton of pressure on ourselves.  We find we have to “hit the mark” and have very little margin for error.  Next time you need to make a big decision, think about the long term impact….and remember, the farther you take yourself away from the target, the smaller your opportunity will be!

Ever feel like you’re doing things that don’t “fit” into your life?  If so, make a move!  Maybe you’re the right person in the wrong “arena?”

Ever let too many things into your life that, “stretch you?” In striking a balance, you must closely evaluate the things that compete for your time, your interests, and more importantly, your soul. Being “stretched” too far can create stress,unhappiness, and even depression in your life.  Be careful what you say yes to…it might be enough to hurt!

There were times in my young life that I was tempted to “jump” from one thing to another…or one place to another.  As we look around and see where our friends are going or what they are doing…it’s tempting to follow suit and “jump” from where we are in life. Jumping too quickly can have devastating results.  Be careful…take some time…pray about it…evaluate the potential benefits and hazards…and wait until you have peace….then (and only then)…JUMP!
